I don't think the video clip is in 1966....only the still pictures are, because there were no tuktuk or even jumbo at that time, only SAMLOR....the video could be in the 70 or 80 not in the 60.
Are you sure it was in 1966 and not 1967. Because based on our account, the last strong strorm that wreck havoc to south east asia with huge amount of rainfall that resulted to massive flooding in many SE asian countries was in 1967.

Dont underestimate Laos. The flood scene in 1:00 is in 1966. The biggest flood in Lao history. you should know.
The scene with many cars in 0:33, of course it could not be 80s because it's the cars of "Lao king". Lao king can exist as a king only before 1975.

Yes, you absolutely right, in 1966, there was'nt any Jumbos and Tuk-Tuks. as a vientianer, i think it' between 85-90 laos govt started imported this kindda Automobils into laos. and also in a clips VDO, they mixed the Photo of 60 together with 80.
I was there, I worked for Air America at Wat Tay Air port at that time. 1966 it was about 1:00 PM, Mekong river over flown over the dike and reached the Air Field.
The Video Clips is before and after 1966, Tuks Tuks came to Vientiane after 1975. One of the Video Clips was First Tarat Sao Vientiane was located at Nam Pouk . Then they moved to Lane Xang Av. I am sure that USIS must have more the oldies Video Clips of Laos.
