What's wrong with asking neighbor countries to help? Thailand is the main trade partner of Laos and the top investors in Laos. We share many similarities in language and culture. And is this the first time that Laos asking Thailand to help? Thais are more experience in organizing many big event such as ASEAN Games, Asian Game, Asian Cup, World Martial Art, Thailand Open and many events

It is not wrong to ask co-orperation from neighbor countries,
this time is globalisation and people should help each other
and I think this is a good thing

Today we ask help from Thailand for helping the 25th SEA game in our capital city, tomorrow Thailand will asking Laos to help them take over Khao Vihanh temple from our brother Cambodia.

And tomorrow we answer back to Thailand and say NO to help in the take over but we beg thailand to borrow, no..... not borrow but GIVE us just a couple of Billion US$ to pay off our debt after SEA GAMES!

yeah ! in this 25 th sea games, most of goods will be from thailand : from noodles to high tech products, so it is normal for us to ask thailand for help because thai will get huge profit from this event. so it is fair !

Growing up in the late 60 ,I really do appreciated to the Thai's media and Newspapers because they did opened my eyes to the outside world. They show how the other countries developed their countries,Politically, Economiclly as well as other social issues. and i'm not here to promot thai media, but they help alot. Back in Lao, we've never had our own TV station,we don't have satllite TV, we don't have communication tower either. until late 90. so for the headline. '' Lao Ask Thailand to help SEA games,'' to me there's nothing wrong with that, for asking your friends to help, especially Thailand, only a few buck not gonna hurt Thai's economy, i guess, and some of us here need to lossing-up a little about Thailand and Thai people.and give them some credit for it.

I'm, 100%, agree with you.   In our history telling, thousand years ago, we ( Laotian and Thai ) came from the same kingdom family, we were brothers since then until present time. Thailand helping Laos everything since I start to remember, If the west not came to take over Indochina and divided our 2 countries, we might be one country with Thailand. Nothing wrong brother helping brother.

Laotian in the U.S.

We should of never host the SEA game. Where's the pride in the country, I just watched the clip. It's nice, no problem w/ asking for help... but why host something we're not ready and can't handle it. What they're saying we're asking them to do most of the over is what it sounds like. Teach and control, big the big brother in all this... at the end, Lao's not the everyone setting this up, it's other country like Thailand,Vietnam, etc. Laos just the location.

Also about the history, let it go... we came for the same root, but we're not really brother sister. It's funny how some say Brother helping Brother. When Laos and Thai have clash, netizen would say "oh history, they ran sack our kingdom, took what belong to us". Now we're asking for help "oh we're family" Good gosh people, where's our self pride and confidence.

In the end I just wish Lao people just get along and stick together. I know if Thailand were to host and was short of money or hands on, Thai all over the world would pitch in, a buck here a buck there.

The answer to this comment is Lao in Laos are uneducated and are selfish and are very jealous and envy all of Lao people overseas because Lao overseas has freedom,$$$$$ and a good life compared to them. This is a true fact of this grudge. We lao overseas to not have any grudge with Lao in Laos but only towards the Government. The stupid thing in all this grudge with Lao in Laos is that they have grudge with Lao overseas but when it comes to Money or Lao overseas to Represent Lao as a country such as sporting events they still think or call them their own people even though they are not citizens of Lao. Take example of Football Players and tennis players.

I hope their attitude changes because this is what prevented Laos from becoming more developed and help lao get out of poverty so not to rely on foreign aids as much or at all.

WHY DO YOU THINK LAOS ASK THAILAND TO HELP!
DON'T YOU THINK IS THAILAND OFFERRING TO HELP LAOS?
NOBODY IS DOING THINGS FOR FREE! "NO FREE LUNCH"
       THAT IS CORRECT.

Watches are a beautiful thing. Certainly, they tell us the time - but aren't they so much more than that? replicas watches Through their watches, a person can express so much, and in a way it could be said:replicas watches Show me your watch and I'll tell you who you are.
