Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister Second Lieutenant Ranongruk Suwunchwee has presided over the signing ceremony for the support of 25th SEA Games live broadcast between TOT Public Company Limited of Thailand and Laos

The signing ceremony took place at the Radisson Hotel in the capital city of Bangkok on Tuesday October 13, 2009. TOT will design, organize and control a Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) broadcasting system over fibre optic with microwave backup system to broadcast all games from 6 stadiums in Laos to the International Broadcasting Center (IBC).

35 million Baht of budget has been approved for this support, 17 million Baht from Thai Government and additionlal 18 million Baht from TOT which is one of Lao SEA Games official partner.  Thailand’s broadcasting support for the 25th SEA Games is expected to help strengthen ties between Thailand and Laos.
