No passenger in the car. Only the careless driver who drove very fast and tried to avoid the collision with a van on a lane that is reserved especially for the Asean traffic. Most Thai drivers are not good drivers. They are very careless. That is why they have accidents a lot.
I read Thai " SAUM NAM NA LAUT KHON LAO HWUAM IN HUA-HIN THAILAND" about this accident on one of Thai Web that's posting on Samakhom Lao web. Thai talked bad ( very bad and unacceptable ) about Lao minister and his car driver. Check it out brothers and find out how bad Thai talk ****ttt about our people.

I have a lot of questions to ask. First, I want to declare that I am a chinese Thai, who was born in Thailand and now studies in the US.
1) Indeed, I know that Laotians in general do not like Thais because some of Thais looked down on Laotians, which I think it's true. In the same times, Laotian like Vietnamese more than Thais. However, when I asked my native Vietnamese classmate about this, he said that Lao is just a small country like Cambodia and a lot of Laotians living in Lao-Vietnam border try to learn Vietnamese and work in Vietnam. That's why I think that some of Vietnameses may look down on Laotian too despite the closed relationship between the governments of Laos and Vietnam. However, I never heard of Laotian blaming on Vietnamese. >>>>>> Do you believe that some Vietnamese look down on Laos like Some of Thais too ? Do you think that Vienam is your good friend (in views of people to people level) ?
2) I used to contact with some Laotians who studied in Thailand and who went to the Phillipines for training. They blamed Thailand that Thai people are selfish and cunning, Thai society is bad and full of prostitutions and Thai police used a dog raping a woman and etc. >>>>>> So if you think that Thai society is immoral and bad, why do you come to Thailand for study, and watch a lot of Thai movies, series and song ? Why are you stick with the entertainment product from a bad and chaotic society like Thailand.
3) A laotian once said to me about Pra Keo "the statue of emerald Buddha". They said Thailand took it from Laos, which is really true, But please dont forget that Laos (Lanxang) took it from Northern Thailand (Lanna). I know that Lanxang and Lanna are relatives. However, I do not think that Lanna people were willing to lose the emerald Buddha to Laos. >>>>>>> What are Laos feeling if the emerald Budhha were still in Laos, and Lanna people said that Laos took the emerald Buddha from Lanna?
4) Some Laotians still misunderstand about the song "Lao Duang Deun" was compsed by a Laotian, which is not true. This song was composed by a Thai prince whose marriage with a Lanna princess was prohibited. Have you ever heard about it before ?
5) I do not know why some Laotain still look down on Thailan, and say like Thailand steal Laotian culture, and made money from it. Moreover, they said that most Thai people's ancestors were from Lao. I think this is not the point to complain, because in that past, Tailand, Lao, Myanmar and Combodia had wars. That's why there were some movement of people. For example. Myanmar army sweep Thai people to Myanmar. Moreover, ther were a cultural exchange between these countries. You can find Pra-Dak, Larb, Tum-Mug-Hoong and CAN (a music instrument) in north eastern thailand and Cambodia. >>>>>>>>>>>> Why do you still insist on this blame on Thailand.
6) last question, I do not know why Laotian still think that Thai people in general look down on Isaan people. This attitude is outdated. actually, my hometown is Chiyaphum, one of Isaan province. I can say that most Isaan people do not want to join back with Lao as a united country. A lot of Isaan people accompished in entertainment industry >>>>>>> a comedian, an actor and a singer >>>>>>> even the winner of the STAR 5 is also an Isaan people.
7) A lot of Laotian said that Thai society has a lot of problems, and not good to live. why dont you look back to Lao society, which I think there are also a lot of problems: Human and drug trafficking and corruption and education and public health. Why do you still insist blaming on Thai society?

According to legend, the Emerald Buddha was created in India in 43 BC by Nagasena in the city of Pataliputra (today Patna). The legends state that after remaining in Pataliputra for three hundred years, it was taken to Sri Lanka to save it from a civil war. In 457, King Anuruth of Burma sent a mission to Ceylon to ask for Buddhist scriptures and the Emerald Buddha, in order to support Buddhism in his country. These requests were granted, but the ship lost its way in a storm during the return voyage and landed in Cambodia. When the Thais captured Angkor Wat in 1432 (following the ravage of the bubonic plague), the Emerald Buddha was taken to Ayutthaya, Kamphaeng Phet, Laos and finally Chiang Rai, where the ruler of the city hid it. Cambodian historians recorded capture of the Buddha statue in their famous Preah Ko Preah Keo legend. However, some art historians describe the Emerald Buddha as belonging to the Chiang Saen Style of the 15th Century AD, which would mean it is actually of Lannathai origin
Historical sources indicate that the statue surfaced in northern Thailand in the Lannathai kingdom in 1434. One account of its discovery tells that lightning struck a pagoda in a temple in Chiang Rai, after which, something became visible beneath the stucco. The Buddha was dug out, and the people believed the figurine to be made of emerald, hence its name. King Sam Fang Kaen of Lannathai wanted it in his capital, Chiang Mai, but the elephant carrying it insisted, on three separate occasions, on going instead to Lampang. This was taken as a divine sign and the Emerald Buddha stayed in Lampang until 1468, when it was finally moved to Chiang Mai, where it was kept at Wat Chedi Luang.
The Emerald Buddha remained in Chiang Mai until 1552, when it was taken to Luang Prabang, then the capital of the Lao kingdom of Lan Xang. Some years earlier, the crown prince of Lan Xang, Setthathirath, had been invited to occupy the vacant throne of Lannathai. However, Prince Setthathirath also became king of Lan Xang when his father, Photisarath, died. He returned home, taking the revered Buddha figure with him. In 1564, King Setthathirath moved it to his new capital at Vientiane.[1]
In 1779, the Thai General Chao Phraya Chakri put down an insurrection, captured Vientiane and returned the Emerald Buddha to Siam, taking it with him to Thonburi. After he became King Rama I of Thailand, he moved the Emerald Buddha with great ceremony to its current home in Wat Phra Kaew on March 22, 1784. It is now kept in the main building of the temple, the Ubosoth.
