CARE International in Lao PDR EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO TYPHOON KETSANA EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
CARE International in Lao PDR is responding to the emergency situation from Typhoon Ketsana in Southern Laos. As part of this response, we would like to invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified Lao national candidates for the proposed following junior and senior vacancies, which are subject to funding approval:
* Field Officer - Community Liaison * Field Officer - Shelter * Field Coordinator * Food Security Officer * WASH Engineers * WASH Hygiene Expert * WASH Health Promoter * Monitoring and Evaluation Officer * Ethnic Translators (Alak, Talieng, Ngae languages) * Admin/Finance Officer * HR Officer
Short term contracts will be offered when funding approval is received. CARE will be seeking additional funding in the near future, and some positions may be extended in line with successful longer term funding plans. CARE will offer attractive terms and conditions to suitably qualified candidates.
It is expected that these positions will be based in Sekong Province. Some travel to other parts of Laos may be required.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work to assist in rebuilding communities impacted by Typhoon Ketsana.
Selection Criteria
* Technical qualifications and field experience * Experience in food/ non-food distribution desirable * Cooperative team player. * Willingness and capacity to travel to remote areas * Significant experience in working with communities. * Able to balance priorities and multi task * Some positions will require good computer skills * Some positions will require English skills
