Finally, there is another index that provides a different and quite positive picture about LPDR!

The Happy Planet Index 2.0 from The New Economics Foundation puts Laos
near the top with a rank of 19.

Laos comes in behind Vietnam at 5, Indonesia at 16, but ahead of
Thailand at 41, the UK at 74 and America at 114 out of a ranking of
143 countries.

(the index is found on page 61)

The Sustainability Society Index 2008 gives Laos a score of 5.8, up
from 5.5 in 2006.

Let us share and brainstorm some ideas and learning point.
1. How do you think this progress come about?
2. What more could the country do to build on this and go further, faster?

I hope you guys would participate and share some of your educated views.

I think it is the real index that show Laos is a happy country.
Only some of those who stay abroad that always complaint Lao goverment, and want Laos to be like america. Now check the american list, almost at the bottom, that's what you call freedom, fake freedom. Do you still want Laos to be like that ? I guess no

1. The results are direct feed back from tourists. but, I am not suprised because Lao people are generally are happy.

2. if, you treat them well they will have possitive comments and they will come back and spend more money.  so the question is not the country it's the people.

Watches are a beautiful thing. Certainly, they tell us the time - but aren't they so much more than that? replicas watches Through their watches, a person can express so much, and in a way it could be said:replicas watches Show me your watch and I'll tell you who you are.
