They could apply and use visa card but it's not credit card, it's prepaid card. The service is provided by the joint development bank.

As i know they issue only debit card for now, in the future they will issue international credit card at Phongsavnh Bank

Own credit cards doesn't show people that you arew rich. Riches people don't carry credit cards but they carry cash or debit cards.

Own credit cards mean you are poor and if somebody don't know how to control the cost. It will be big trouble if you can't efford to pay the bills.

If you are comfortable and used to money a credit card is good because it carries lots of benefits a debit card doesn't. First you get 1% off everything in the form airline tickets or cash, also if the item or service isn't as agreed you can stop payment.

Anyone who carries a monthly balance is poor by definition. You borrow to buy appreciating assets like houses, or land. You finance things that can be written off in the form of depreciation in taxes, like heavy equipment of buildings.

A matter of fact, yes you can, one you open account with the bank. and they will issue you a bank card with visa or master card local on it, anyway may i asking, why do you want international credit card when you already have one from your own bank?? here in the state? It' already international card you can use it anywhere on the earth.

I'm not sure if the local banks in Laos offer visa or master cards. Although, I think they offer something like a debit card, where you have to carry minimum balance. As far as credit cards, I don't think so. Unless those business men or women have a bank account somewhere else beside Laos, where they offer credit cards. Plus, most business places in Laos doesn't even accept any type of credit cards. Cash is the king in Laos and will be for some time.

i did check online on official website of bank in Laos, they don't seem offer any international credit card like visa and master card and plus if entry to visa and master website u can't find any information relating to Laos which mean that at the moment people in laos can't apply these card in Laos. why do i need to apply one and can't apply aboard. because i am lao citizen so , foreigner can't apply international cards in aboard except you have a greencard in that country.

broter. speak out!!i am not living in the USA and i am Lao citizen who works and study aboard. it;s complicate for me to buy something online which need to use only visa or mastercard.sometimes cash can't help me to buy online haha..

May i ask?? Are you a full-time Student or full-time worker?? if you're fulltime worker,how did you get a job? like guest visa worker(h1b-visa) ? and if you're fulltime worker, It' should be easy for you to get Visa, Why? because you're legally worker and pay a local tax. unless you've work under the table, you wouldn't be able obtain any credit cards. so if you're a fulltime student, even way better than a native born. Why? here it is, if you get a scholarship from any of these foreign countries, AUST,JAPAN, SINGAPORE,SOUTH-KOEA, or even U.S.A.. and i knew some of these countries really helpfull one you get to your destination. like, School administration or Campus tourman, take you to the main office for registration for class, show you around the campus, check out yourdoom-room, But the most importing they do first is to issue you a check for your first month expend, and open checking or saving account at the Campus's bank. one you open account, you can request for any credit cards, Visa or Master card.Believe me because i've done it before. ok, Brother.. good luck..
