Yes, rich people always happy seeing poor countries reserving the forest, heritages etc.. In fact the local people are poor and do not have money then the rice would say, why they are poor? their government corruption? bla...bla

I think it the chance for them to earn some money to lift up their lives,...

Oh, yes. you might say the owner of the business is Chinese !!!! But if you could see what the country get from it e.g., tax, foreign currency, job created for local people. Important think is Lao government has regulised that not allow local residents going fo gambling except working.

The projec has already made Chinese tourise flocking to northern of Laos at least 3000 people each day.

So I think this is not a bad project at all guys

What's wrong with Chinese people helping out? Laos has to start somewhere and could use all the help they need. I don't know much about this project but I think Laos probably is helping out their share as well to develop this project.

The most important question is, "Is that what the local population wants?"  It is always easy to critique from a distance when you are already living a comfortable life with many conveniences and opportunities.   If this project does benefit the locals and give rise to better essential services such as healthcare, education, clean water, electricity then how can people living with privileges criticise the those who are under-privileged wanting a better future.  Sometimes consideration for the wealthfare of the local people should be given more than our ideal of what we want Laos to be.

I hope these benefits you mention are not too expensive for the local to afford it; especiallly healthcare and education are good for those who can afford it.

Watches are a beautiful thing. Certainly, they tell us the time - but aren't they so much more than that? replicas watches Through their watches, a person can express so much, and in a way it could be said:replicas watches Show me your watch and I'll tell you who you are.
