 Just wonder leasing those land  are part of the debt sttlement payments for the loans

Vietnamese firm Long Thanh Golf Club and Residential Estate will invest US$1 billion in a golf course construction project in Laos, an official from the firm told Thanh Nien Daily.

Under a memorandum of understanding recently signed by chairman of the firm’s management board and general director Le Van Kiem, and Vientiane mayor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, the project will commence in a 500-hectare area in Vientiane capital next month, said Kiem’s assistant Pham Thanh Minh.


The company will strive to accelerate the project, which includes the construction of a 36-hole golf course, a 5-star hotel, a hospital and a school, so that the golf course’s first 18 holes will be complete by 2010 to commemorate the 450th founding anniversary of Vientiane capital, he said.

KPL) The Yunnan-Oudomsay Samsao Jin Mao Company has invested US dollars three million in rubber tree plantation project in Oudomsay province.

An agreement on the investment was signed here on December 30, 2009 by Ms. Khammy Souksavath, Chief of Beng district on behalf of the Oudomsay Committee on Investment Promotion and Management and Mr. Wang Zhenli, President of the Yunnan-Oudomsay Samsao Jin Mao Company.

Mr. Sonesou Amphay, standing member of the Oudomsay Provincial Party Committee, and relevant officials witnessed the signing ceremony.

The project area covers a total area of 2,589 ha in five villages in Beng district, namely Khone, Sakhoi, Tongthoune, Phoulay and Chanmay.

Oudomsay province has granted a 40-year land concession to the Chinese investment company to implement its project activities, ranging from planting rubber trees and processing and exporting latex to China.



(KPL) Chinese owned Dok Ngew Kham Group Co; Ltd wants to bring the world of glamour toTonpheung district, Bokeo province, which shares borders with Myanmar and Thailand, by making it one of the top international entertainment place in the world.

Three hundred people were at a groundbreaking ceremony in the entertainment centre, located in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone and on this special occasion some of the people tested the casino by placing bets on the various gaming tables in Tonpheung district on 9 September.

Two distinguished persons were at this event, Deputy Prime Minister, Asang Laoly and President of Dok Ngew Kham Group Co. Ltd., Chao Wei.

Mr Ousavanh Thiengthepvongsa, advisor of the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone and Tourism-Services Development Project told KPL News last week that this Chinese company would invest US$2 billion to this total entertainment place.

He said that initially this company decided to invest only US$ 86 million to develop the entertainment cum casino place, tourism and service sectors on 827 hectares of land but it morphed to become a much bigger project with a total investment of US$2 billion on 3,000 hectares of land on a 50-year lease.

On completion of this giant project the whole complex would employ 5,000 workers and an estimated 300 domestic and foreign companies would be operating in this zone.

Presently, it has 20 new start-ups. Besides these, the zone has seven hotels and a total entertainment cum casino centre. According to Mr Chao Wei, on its completion in 2020, he would have a trade centre, a five star hotel, an entertainment centre, casino, bank, golf course, school, hospital, airport, harbour and a service centre.

Now the Russia want a piece of Laos also, Russia want some of Loas land just like Vietnam and China .

The Russian Federation Council
has ratified an agreement between the governments of Russia and Laos
on the settlement of the republic's loan debt to Russia denominated in
rubles. According to Mikhail Margelov, chairman of the Federation
Council's foreign affairs committee, the agreement provides for the
restructuring of Laos's total $1.3bn debt from November 1, 2003. Laos
now has the right to refrain from paying 70 percent of the sum, while
the other 30 percent is subject to negotiations and must be fully
repaid in accordance with the payment schedule. Furthermore, the
consolidated sum and interest rate can be used by Russia in exchange
for its share in environmental protection and other projects on the
territory of Laos. Moreover, Russia is entitled to exchange the
country's debt for certain products and services.

The Chinese, Vietnamese and Russia build the factories in their countries so their people could have jobs. But the Chinese won't build casino in the main land China but they are building Laos so they could take the money back home visitors and gamblers to China and also the rubbers plantation . The Vietnamese build the factories in Vietnam so do Vietnamese have jobs and build golf course in Laos so Vietnam could make money from tourists who are visiting beautiful country of Laos and Vietnamese plantation in the south. Now the Russia want piece of Lao land so they could do the same. Loan people own nothing and have no land to farm and the foreigner will not hire the Laotian. That are the deal to pay back the debt settlements loans with China, Vietnam and Russia. It look developed but no money to the local people. All Land are leasing to the foreigner and all the money have already been spent and Laos is still broke and depend on foreign aid money.

The US took California from Mexico and bought Alaska from the Russia only 5000 thousand dollars . Seward, and for many years afterward the land was derisively called Seward's Folly or Seward's Icebox because of its supposed uselessness. Since Alaska appeared to offer no immediate financial return, it was neglected.


Sorry  that is my mistake confused between the Indian and Russian and  Alaska.

Returning California to Mexico just like talking about Returning Isarn to Laos. That would never ever happen, Right.
