There are dozens of streets in Laos with foreign names, just as there is every where else in the world. My city too, has street names of various cities. Don't worry!
in the area of Anou village or around national football stadium , Chanthabouly district, Vientiane capital. many road has vietnamese and french names. the names of the road were established by old regime before 1975, not by LPDR. i know bcoz i live there.

You must be joking! to my recollection, there were very few french streets' names, but not Vietnamese street's name in Laos before 1975 at all !!
