Who's the big sponsor for this event now? The 1st annual music award was back in Aug. of 2008, they said it will held each year. But, for some reason they skip 2009 and it didn't surprise me at all. Very typical of Lao styles of doing things. No consistency!!!

You gotta pay to play, so without a sponsor this event cannot happen every year.
It is a good question, who is the sponsor? Have not seen or heard any advertisement for this event yet. I hope this is truth and not a rumour. But there should also be more songs nominated for #1 than only these three!
I don't think it's going to happen. None of the artists are talking about it. I have them added on facebook. I remember when the first award came the news spread quick with updates. I haven't heard anything about the second one. Which means it probably won't even happen.... yet.
It's not consistency, the Lao music industry is actually quite small and music and artists are developed at quite a slow rate unlike the music industry in America. So within a years worth of music production, would not be enough selection for the Lao Music Award choices
