The model of Luang Prabang, a famous ancient city in Laos, together with other exhibits, displays the connection between tradition and the modern society. The exhibition highlights the interrelation between environmental protection and economic prosperity and the importance of sustainable urban development

The Laos pavilion is part of the Asia Joint Group III and it shares a building with Myanmar (Burma). There is a model of Luang Prabang, which is an ancient city in Laos and rather large model of some kind of house or temple that takes up a large area in the center of the room. There are also some unique lanterns and handicrafts that are unique to Laos and you can buy most of of what you see if you think they’d look good in your house. The exhibition has several natural scenery pictures taken from the countryside and some text that refers to the sustainability practices happening in the country. All of this is nice until you see the giant board on display! Nothing says sustainability like chopping down an ancient tree for the expo. It was for sale and would probably make a great table but the price wasn’t listed. If you have to ask…
Thailand and Laos cultures and architecture are similar to each other but Thailand has promoted their own signature to the world longer than Laos so most of the people well known about Thailand and people might thought this Lao pavillion is parts of Thailand pavillions and people don't know what and where is Laos
It's quite hard job for us how to promoting to be far different from Thailand? How to be distinctive different from Esan or Northeasthern Thailand?
what we show the chinese and world is WOOD...thats why chinese comes to Laos and do a timber trade illegally in Laos!!!!why don't we show the gold and copper. Maybe it would be attracting more and more visitors.
