Around the globe, countries were preparing for the Liebherr World Team Championships in Moscow but for Pakistan’s Arif Khan there was a different task.

He arrived in Vientiane, the capital city of Laos on Saturday 5th May to conduct an Olympic Solidarity Course under the direction of the ITTF Development Programme from Sunday 5th to Saturday 19th May 2010.

A very peaceful and sports loving country, it was Arif Khan’s second visit to Laos; he had been present in the country in 2007 when he had conducted an ITTF Level One Course and most certainly he was more than delighted to return.

The Country
Laos is a landlocked country in Southeast Asia, Laos is bordered by Burma and People's Republic of China to the northwest, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the south and Thailand to the west. The climate is tropical and monsoonal.
