Sabaidee luangprabang and No answer from Pakse, I noted that all laowoman on movie wear Lao skirt.. not any sense that Lao woman wore the pant?? but in the the reality of life and society Laowoman wear the pant and sinh depend on places, events and blabla... but on the Movie.. Laowoman wear the sinh all the time. is it to show thai people and the world that, we love to wear sinh and love our culture??? why the producer has to do unreal movie??

I wouldnt blame a producer or director(s) of these movies. They just try to comply with rules and regulations set by MoIC. MoIC would most likely ban the screenings if they deem 'inappropriate' (e.g. showing women wear jeans, shorts...).
We can fool the world but we can't fool ourselves.
Maybe is b'cos Lao women are very traditional that's why they wear sinh most of the time.
Some aret just because they are thai ban nork.
I don't think it has any thing to do with them being ban nork, I think it's because of the rule n regulation that the government n our elders had set for Lao woman. They have to wear sinh almost 24-7 days a week. I find it's too ridiculous that only women have to comply with this kind of rules. How about the men, why didn't the government have the men wear Aladdin's pants ( pha kut teaw ຜ້າຂັດຕ່ຽວ ) or even man sarong (ຜ້າສຫຼົ້ງ) instead of wearing pants or suit? If they were so serious about preserving Lao tradition?
Thai people fall in love to Lao after they wear sinh and speak Lao in the movie. Sinh and Lao spoken is the strong point for the begining of Lao movie. If they do same as thai movie or hollywood. The movie will not get sucsess.
They are trying to preserve the beautiful culture, got it?
i know , i know.. this is not a good answer ! i want the movies filming naturally ,not forcing.. you know that, the women don't wear sinh all the time in Laos.. agree??
i know y!!!!! very simple answer ..... the goverment dont allow to do shooting or make a moive or film or whatever , if Loas woman dont wear sinh. and if u dont follow the rule , u will b banned so it upon producer or director , it the goverment

ITS A MOVIE SO YOU WILL SEE AS DIRECTED, AND AS THE CUSTOMS DESIGNERS....ITS NOT REAL LIFE SO IS UNREAL...lol by the way its IN the movie not ON the movie.
