Since 2006 , BBC News started to label Vietnam as the youngest Economy Tiger , after that many other experts listed Vietnam as one of the latest Economy Tiger together with India and Indonesia. No doubt that Vietnam economy is very strong.
But recently , Phnom Penh Post has got an article which says : Cambodian economy earns mini-tiger recognition.
Cambodia will be tiger first. They are democracy country, and has population two time larger then Laos. They are not landlock. But Laos economy also grow as 7.5% a year.
I guess it's really not a matter of who will eventually become a "tiger economy" first but when. If you've been to Cambodia, you would soon realize the desperation of some of its people just to survive. Just walking along Sisowath quay would easily give you that impression, easily. And i hope economic gains won't taint Laos' friendly people with the attitude Khmers have in general.
Rising production of copper, gold, and silver coupled with stimulative government policies helped the economy maintain solid growth in 2009. The pace of growth is forecast to step up in both 2010 and 2011, underpinned by expansion in the mining and hydropower industries. Inflation, curtailed in 2009, will pick up this year. Rapid increases in credit have raised macroeconomic and banking system risks. Longer-term challenges involve diversifying sources of growth and generating more employment.
who knows, but it seems that u thia have already surpassed some african countries when it comes to HIV/AIDS. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_HIV/AIDS_adult_prevalence_rate
Dude, you're an idiot. Why so much hatred against Lao what did they done to you so you have so much hatred against us. Yes, Thailand is better than Laos but your country is still considered a 3rd world.
The admin is not doing his job when they (foreigner) are attacking the users here, he is only enforced when Lao is attacking Lao. What a shame!!
