Vientiane, Laos - Switzerland is set to contribute 3 million dollars to Laos' Cluster Munitions Trust Fund, designed to clear the country of thousands of unexploded bomblets, reports said Wednesday.
Switzerland will soon hand its contribution, and Belgium will give another 150,000 euros (210,000 dollars) to the fund, set up by the government and United Nations to clear Laos of unexploded ordnance dropped on the country by the US military during the Vietnam War, the Vientiane Times reported.
Holp fully the money do not go to some body pockets!!
This is also What i think, but of course more or less will benifit the people or org, company whom work for the programe, the Most I am worring about is, the corupption the govt don't use those $$ in the programe, they probably cut off and spend it another things like , their own pockets or keep it and wait for another aid. I think the govt just dont want to finish the UXO programe very soon, otherwise the govt won't get any support from the world. thats why the report of UXO in laos says that, the uxo in Laos needs take at least a hundred year to clear and remove the uxo from Laos.
