That's a sad start of 2011. Since the event transpired just a few hours before New Year, I can only imagine maybe everyone was in a rush - from the airport pick up, then getting to their respective hotels, and the driver back home. And sangthiew drivers aren't exactly known to be careful drivers in Thailand. they're always in a rush and a lot of the ones I've been in were quite reckless.
