In his biography,he's thai-farang-chinese-vietnam and come from Pakse (Laos). But they never said he's lao, he's play in thai lakorn "Mon ruk mae nam moon" too.

 Taxi , you are wrong again not very body are ashamed to be called Lao . I don't . I am proud to be Lao. Laos is the least developed country for now but watch and see Lao people will catch up with the world .Maybe not with tall building or financing but humanity and knowledge those are what the most important to be human.

       If his father is Chinese and his mother is Vietnamese why he looks like falang ( half white) . So he must has European gene  in his family from father side or mother side  or maybe his mother had the affair with the European man.

SOURYACHACK is Lao family name. I know couple Lao families in Houston Texas and L.A. California that their last name SOURYACHACK.  If his last name's from his dad family's name, he's Lao.

Other Thai Lakhorn star name Rarm Theppithack son of Soumphone Theppithack, his original native is Lao. A Lao singer who sung Lao song " PHET NAI TOM " his name is Phonethep Theppithack and he's older brother of Soumphone Theppithack. I was next door neighbor of Phonethep Theppithack and always saw his brother Soumphone Theppituck came over to his house all the time. After 75's I don't know where his family is, I believe they are in Thailand like his younger brother Soumphone is right now.

Many Thai stars are Lao.
