Yes we could, But not as big as our surrounding neighbors. for instant, We sold our electricity to most of the Northeast Thailand (Esarn region) and exported our very expensive woods to Thailand in the past 40-50 years and still going on today. and most of our very good woods used built their houses, funitures, and other household thing around Thailand, and Thailand sent us Rice, Gas, and others household thing. if you don't believe me please do some research. and ofcourse, we imported a lots of our household  thing from around our regions not just Thailand... But we exchange from our commodities not for free..... put that in your head.

and may i ask which country invested in the electicity company in lao? dont tell me it is 100 percent owned by lao yawn

And who build electric dam for Laos? can Lao build its own?

I'm talking about Nam Gnum Dam you stupid, We were selling electricity well over 40 years  to you thai peopleOk, I wasn't talking about new generation Dams like Thai-Italian built Nam-thuen2 and the rest of new Dams... Building the Dams , the Bridges , roads , airports , hospitals , railroads, schools and even government building all built by foreign aid monies. Laos could not afford to do on her own. Almost every projects depend on Vietnam , China and Thailand. Could you handle to find out the truth.

Laos could of let China into Laos and help build it for us instead of Thailand. But that would worried many Thais government and U.S for the sake of China expansion into ASEAN.

It's good that Thailand is helping Laos. But being a two face politically within Thailand Government is untrustworthy. Thailand usage of helping its neighbors build such project usually bring Thai Government opporturnty to use the helping hands as a threat against a country they procieved with.

Just like Cambodia and Thailand issue. We can see how Thailand uses its "Dependency" stragtegy on a country that they procieved to help.

yes, yes, china love lao very much. another tibet, i see biggrin

Laos isn't another Tibet. What makes you think Laos is?

Maybe you should look at Bangkok since now many depend on Chinese Thai and China for assistance. But at the end Thai enjoy licking Chinese ass clean because they love getting it dirty.aww

What is wrong with letting our neighbors helping Laos out? It seem that you are too slow to think smart and logically.

In the past. Thailand used to, used foreigner to help build Thailand today. Also China was the dominate for most Bangkok development that we see today. Again you are too incompetent and slow to know anything about you're own country.

China and Laos has always be friends in the past. It's just recent that they are helping Laos on its development sector. This is a working progress for both China and Laos relationship and development of the people. I think you're just jealous and scared on how Laos and the people will develope in the future with China. Also when did Thailand ever cared about Laos develope??? Not much progress going on between two country for many decade to generation. Perhaps Thailand should keep turning its back the other way around and let us do our own thing.aww

Very well , China love to conquer and absorb Laos like China have done to Tibet and other Muslin provinces. Pay attention what the China try to do to Vietnam on the Spratly island . Do really think that China love Laotian by building one stadium smaller than American football field ( Raider) then China must immigrant hundred of the Han Chinese to settle in Laos. Every project be built by the Chinese , Chinese have more profit and more advantage from Laotian. By building more casinos in Laos and don't hire Lao people .Built the stadium brought their own Chinese workers to work and don't hire any Laotian .So that is the good relationship or  indirectly conquer.

Of course Laos have to reconsidered its own people well being aswell. Also I'm sure the Laotian Government are now aware of Chinese influx into Laos and the lack of hiring Laotian. But thanks for you're concern on how Laos will develope.aww

I'm talking about Nam Ngum Dam you stupid, We were selling electricity well over 40 years  to you thai people, I wasn't talking about new generation Dams like Thai-Italian built Nam-theun 2 and the rest of new Dams... How old are you anyway ? How come you didn't know anything about Nam-Ngum Dam ?

I am 16 years old but I know more than low and uneducated  old people who don't even have hi-school diplomat. I thought that Nam-Ngum Dam was built by the American money with the Japanese help for the Royal Lao government forty years ago .

First of all you don't called me low and uneducated people and don't have a hi-school diploma, I'm a U.S. citizen and worked for Dyno Nobel base in Norway since I came out from School 20 years ago. talk about my education level you still got more than 15 year to catch me  son. maybe higher than the rest of your family tree. please don't be arrogance, you just 16 years old hi-school kid who don't know your own future yet, you might end up with your local gang, or end up work for factory with minimum wage( Sorry no often for factory workers here). As for the Nam Ngum Dam, yes, you absolutely right about it. But doesn't mean Laos owe anything to these two countries, (Japan and U.S.A.) because both country tried to influence Laos by spent their money and technologies to built Nam Ngum Dam for Laos and Laos own it 100%, not like other new generation Dams like Nam Theun investors owns almost 75% for the next 25-30 something years... So if you're Lao, Please try not to discredit the ability of lao and laos.... you only have 10 grade education.

US citizen  big deal old man and who care. Calm down otherwise your blood pressure will go up and you might a stoke . I graduated  already and this is my second term in the university old man. Also don't call me son because you are not my father. About the Nam Ngum dam , it does really not matter that Laos owe 100%  without the American 's money and the Japanese  help  the royal government that dam would never be built.

Yes,  it' big deal for people who worked for foreign Company and it' big deal for people who love to travel around the Glob and it' even bigger deal to be part of the greatest country on the face of the Earth. Well, you said you're 16 years old, how the hell did you end up second year in University ?  you want to show off that you were the smartest kid that graduated from High School and college before turn 18 ? When i was reading your comment, you ain't 16 years old kid. I haven't seen or meet any 16 years old kids knew what was going on in Laos 40 something years ago. Oh by the way, thankyou for worrying about my health,  I'm very healthy and very active in sport too. So this very good debated and i like it...
