...Interesting next time I visit laos, I must go to Savnah Casino and check it out. I got my body guards so I be safe. To bad, once it starts u can't stop it, country to dam poor and cops/government needs money.
Gambling is the disease that destroyed many people lives and families specially the people who are not well educated like the poor people who have the dream that they could be lucky and could be able to beat the odd. I have been seen many people lives and families have been torn apart and lost their honor and became liar, prostitutes, robbers and thieves because of their gambling addictions .There is only one winner that is the casino. So there must be a law that the casino must not allow the local people to gamble only the tourists and also the government must provide the professional therapy for the gamblers addiction that is part of the responsibility of the casino and the government .

Those uneducated Lao or don't understand the consequences will surely end up like this news. Lao people tend to not listen or logically understand such future cause until it is too late.
But at the end it is their fault for an unwise decision they made the first place.
I think there is a law that bans locals from gambling at the casino. But laws will always be broken if the authorities can't enforce it. I can understand that the governing authorities wants to creat jobs and revenue in the area. But they should have also consider if they have the manpower and knowledge to enforce the law. The casino is run by foreign investors, operating in a communist state. So if the Party is the highest authority in the land. They should do something about this now, since its' caused more than enough embrassement for Laos already.
