Only China is successful but there are only 145 Chinese billionaire and only 300 millions Chinese are rich and the families of the communist party have a good living but about 1 billion Chinese are still earn about $3 dollars per days and million of Chinese are still living in poverty . They work hard just to make the richer to become richer .

You know why the Soviet Union callape because the communist system did not work , it is good only to the communist party and their families and their business associate but not to the majority of the people. Also the Berlin wall was torn down.

North Korean people are starving to death but the south Korea is very successful. Why because Kim Jong il is a dictator and a  communist king who has never been elected by the people and doesn't care about the people unlike south Korea government is elected by the people and care about the people. Any government is not elected by the people, is not care about the people. They only care about their families and their party to stay in power.

The North Korea people are starving to death because they don't have anything to eat.  Isn't that obvious?

Your Choice monies for food for the people or monies for nuclear bombs and missile. Kim Jong il chose the missiles and nuclear bombs over food for the people.

 Any thing would be more important than the well being of the  people. The army are supposed to protect the people and serve the country, not to turn their guns to their own citizen just to keep the corrupted dictator and government in power. Good , intelligent leader and government don't have to pay the army a bag of rice as you mentioned and their people don't have to be starving to death like the north Korean people.Look at the south Korea government  are elected by the people and could transformed the south Korean from 3rd world country to the most modern and economical success . That is the different between the leader who is elected by the people and the dictator who came to power by the barrel of the guns .
