Do Lao people have done any good For Thai?

I saw only Lao people ( some of them, not all ) were talking bad about Thai people on this website ( I mean Samakomlao website ). We should learn good thing from good person, neither Thai or Lao we should exchange the experiences from each other to repair or add to where we should be fixed.

If you are old enough or you were grew up before the 75's and or you studied the SEA 19th. century history you will see WHAT THAI REALLY HAVE DONE GOOD FOR LAO PEOPLE?

There are only the young generations of Lao PDR people who's born after 75's didn't see any good thing from Thai or Thailand govt. have done so many things for Laos.

1. Thai people and govt. had have done to Laos and Vietnam Politicians:

Thailand used to be a safe house for Laos revolution leaders when the civil war were broke out. Prince Souphanouvong and his staffs ( several former Laos PDR leaders and govt. were included ) were escaped to Thailand and hidden there for while before came back to Laos after everything was settle. Hochiminh was also used Thailand territory as his safe house when he was escaped from Saigon South Vietnam. Pro-South Vietnam army went after and hunting him then he fled to Thailand and stayed there for while before he went back to north Vietnam. ( his house in Thailand is still there for the tourist to visit ).

2. People to people:

Thailand is main warehouse for Lao people for over 100 years already. All the foods, medicines, cloths, school supplies, household supplies in Laos were came from Thailand. Lao people ( old or new Lao PDR ) are using Thai noses to breath, without Thailand Laos will be hungers like North Korean people. Who built train track and bridges cross the Mekong river? Vietnam or Thailand? Who gave the lights on hi-way from Thanaleng to Vientiane? Vietnam or Thailand?

Lao Nok has seen what their parents went thru during the Vietnam war. Siamese(Thai) mistreated Lao refugees. Siamese(Thai) steal,raped, abused and sometime killed Lao refugees.

But the Cambodian and Vietnamese has the worse treatment from the Siamese(Thai). I truely feel sorry for them. I know its war, but running away from killing field into the killing arms of Siamese(Thai).

Many Siamese(Thai) killed Lao,Cambodian,and Vietnamese during the Vietnam War. Siamese(Thai) then used their identities to claimed refugees status to come to US and Canada.

Shame on you Siamese(Thai).

We do not hate Siamese(Thai). We just want Lao Nai to know what our parents went thru. We do not want Lao Nai to be fool by the fake Siamese(Thai) smile.

Yes, I am totally agree with brothers and sisters, we were suffering from Thai Siam camp to such to rememory. I still remember those day gone by when I came to Napo Camp, Province of thai Siam. I feel so sad for myself and my countrymen, women, and children, when thai polic put us in jail, and they treated very worst like animal. every night, we were sleeping in the corner of jail house and thai polices came to our jail house to rape women and kick them if we were refuse to have sex them if some body try to protect they beat to death. and thai police are evil not an human kind and event, they kick the children when children cry to much and how evil is that siamese people.

Just do not put up with the craps that Siamese helped Lao with this and that. Siamese have low self esteem.

The Siamese(Thai) will not mention the helped they got from the world during the Tsunami(billions). Prior to that billions of dollars are poured into Siam economy to helped the Siamese people by the American.

During the Vietnam War, the UN poured billions into Siam, to help the influx of refugees. Not all that money went to the refugees. Millions went to the Jek King, corrupted politians, corrupted officials, and corrupted army personels. Still today, there are millions of starving Siamese whom need help.

Better teach yourself and don't try to teach Laonai. It's an insult to think they are so naive that they know nothing happening around them. The truth is you don't know better, and far worse, than they do about their Lao history because that you happen to live in a western society.

They all learn about Lao history, including past relations with Siam/Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma, etc in schools. The Viets and the Cambodians were treated the same way or even far worse when they tried to escape their countries. Do they spend their time crying? Look at the Viets and their achievement in education and living standards in the US and France.

The Laonai are more realistic than you are. They see a brighter future but you seem to stick you head in the sand and console yourself by only looking at the past.

Try to get a high education degree instead. Help contribute a good reputation to the Lao community where you live and this will make Laonai proud of you.
