1.  Without Essan/Isan (aka Lao people) Bangkok WILL NOT FUNCTION and will not be Thailand, but Siam.  Go to Bangkok and see it yourself.  Think of it.. a modern slavery.  But very sad for the Essan people because they seem to have identity crisis and lost in this "thaification" process.  There are more Essan people than the real Thai siam people. 

Laos people should be happy because we still have our own country called Laos.  What about Essan people?  Well, I hate to say this but Essan seem to have no country but "thailand".  Democracy and Monarchy do not mix.  For a country to progress and develope you have to get rid of the monarchy system.  Thai People get sick you know watching tv at 7 or 8 and see your yellow "father and mother" begging for free money.  It's better to love your old father and mother at home.  much better.  :)  People will hate me for it but I'm being honest. 

2.  there is more democracy and freedom in Laos than thailand. 

1.  There are more Lao people with high pointy nose versus the flat ones.  If you've been seeing flat nose, maybe it's time to go and explore Laos some more.  My daughter has the most beautiful nose in the world and it's small and FLAT out cute!
