watching the clip brought back memories when North vietnamese troops helped communist Pathed lao take over the country, they slaughter their way through.nobody can stop them... not even the new generation knew that especially the kids were borned late 70 onto 80 they kno nothing at all. Now agging war revolutionaries, they trained and sent out their kids the western especially their fellow Commies states and get some educated and back home to be a new generation leaders. some work at commerce department don't even know what the hell is a free market economy or economy reforms mean...
for exaple: when financial system collapsed in 2008. some high ranking pathed lao officers kept telling lao people laos was not affected by what happening in the west until a year or two later the came out and admited ... I'm not here to blame only Pathedlao government so is a Royal government as well...
The commies are aging and eventually they will die off, leaving the next generation to come into power with new ideals that are more in tune with the rest of the world. Economic pressure from the outside world is what's going to have the largest impact on Laos opening up. Money is king in Laos, whoever has it, controls the masses.
Is it worth dying for ? Maybe the question should be, why do people have to die because of this?
The dictators will not give up the power specially when they have been in power for a long time whithout being elected by the people and they will do what ever it takes to stay in power
