It's the opportunity to get better paid jobs in Thailand, that's all. There are thousands of low-paid jobs in garments that are not filled in Laos but Lao people are not interested in them. To do those jobs, Laos has to bring in thousands of foreigners desperate to use the opportunity to get out of their more competitive countries and to come to live in Laos. You know who I refer to. It's sad.

There are still almost 50 countries behind Laos, including Cambodia, Burma, Nepal, Bengladesh and most African countries. The Vietnamese and Chinese companies don't hire Laotian and most of Laotian are low educated people and have no skill. They go to work in Thailand as cheap labor but still better then no job at all. The same thing why there are millions and millions people rich and poor from every nation in the world are trying to come to live and work in the United States even they hate the America .
