Are you worried about your height young grasshopper? It is all in your genes and not just the height of your parents. Unless you have a tall relative in your family, then the chances of you being short like most Lao people is more than likely. I don't know many that are over 6 feet, only 2 brothers who are taller than their parents, so it is possible, just very rare. I've never met a tall Lao girl either, although I've met some really, really short ones under 5 feet, almost midgets.

I don't think you can change your height by eating or drinking stuff, it's just like your dikk size, you are stuck with what you got unless you do some surgery. Drinking milk only makes the bones stronger but they will grow to their pre-destined size due to genetics.

Why you want to be tall for? You want to play ball like buk dums? Lao people don't make it to the NBA or any sport in America. We either sell drugs or gamble and drink, choose wisely young ka boo sabi...

Since Laos is not on this chart, I'm going to look at the neighboring countries like Thailand, Vietnam and China on this chart which has an average height for a male to be around 5'5. This is in accordance to what I've seen also. This is the "average" and yes, there could be taller people but they are few, especially since the overall Laos population in the world is very small compared to others. I think there are about 6 million people in Laos and about 2 million around the rest of the world. If you are Lao and you are tall, then you are lucky cause you carry the rare tall gene.

This has also been discussed before: http://laomate.activeboard.com/t36564063/average-height-country/

you must be seeing many short lao American people.

Lao people need to stop being so critical about how you look! Beauties come in different sizes, shapes, and shades! Be proud of who you're and focus more on EDUCATION!!!!!

Many think Lao people are short because a big portion of Lao population have Vietnamese blood.  And we all know the Vietnamese are short people.

Why do people want to be tall for? I'm fine with my height, it doesn't prevent me from enjoying life. I'm 5'5 and there are a lot of people shorter than me and a lot of people taller than me, so what. I'm me, that's all I can be. You will be you. People who worry about comparing themselves to others, lack self confidence. Does being taller make someone better than me? If it does, then good for them, but it doesn't affect me. I use what I got to my advantage.
