winkWow don't be so serious Amerikkkans . Just saying I would like Lao to develop a better public transportation system. It would be fun to make rich give up their stuff but realistically it wouldn't happen. I am a man of the people. Not a man of the CIA white man like you guys are. wink

You're a troll.

Your parents need to take you with them next time they see their "Thai" doctor and get you some medication.  You still think you're living in a cave in Samnua in 1968.

What a troll.  You surely can't believe the bull crap you spew.

The only Korea people in Laos want to be like is the prosperous one of their south.  Both officials and normal Lao people.  Go around Vientiane you can make new friends debating this topic with fellow Lao.  I'm sure you'll have a hard time finding anyone that agrees with you that Laos is better off being like the Korea that can barely feeds itself.  Koreans move south, not north.

He should go live there.  He probably wouldn't be able to feed himself without his mommy/maid cooking for him.

Aw personal attacks is what we are at now? Typically of a non educated Lao nork. Don't worry you can get your maid here from Lao. You old timers always come to get your 20 year old second wife as a maid anyways.

LOL stop crying.  You're the ones calling everyone names.  Man up!

Speaking of Old Timers, half of the Lao Noks have never been back to Laos.  Those men that get mia nois are still a minority.  That's their choice.  A male visitor to Laos can't even sit by himself without a young Lao woman approaching him.  Doesn't matter if he's Lao, white, or another kind of Asian.

Those fords are probably built in Vietnam.  All the crud Vietnam has been telling the Lao PDR to teach Lao people is hypocritical because Vietnam is doing the total opposite.  Vietnam is looking for friend's these days which is does not have.

Haha this is the funny part! America and Vietnam are now starting to become best friends! You know why? America needs allies to fight against 'big bad China'. So now Lao will always be 'under' Vietnambiggrin as long as America can help it! Irony is funny

Now you will see America, the one you praise, is really just as sleazy or worse than Vietnam. Anything to fit their goals.

Where are you oh patriotic Lao nork? Shouldn't you be marching on Washington to protest America and their new ties to Vietnam? biggrin It must be so disheartening. Your adoptive father is showing his true colors! What happen to America standing for democracy and justice!? Dealing with the evil disgusting Vietnamese!!? How could they??!? 55

America supports anyone that will further ITS OWN  greedy AGENDA. You shouldn't pretend to ignore this fact. America even armed the Taliban  and also has armed ISIS fighters at times as well. So while you are so proud and think of yourself as progressive, please pay attention to the new that happens in your own country. (not Laos but Amerikkka)

http://thediplomat.com/2013/11/vietnam-gradually-warms-up-to-us-military/

Last month the United States and Vietnam held two important annual high-level security meetings in Washington: the 6th Political, Security, and Defense Dialogue and the 4th Defense Policy Dialogue.

The 6th U.S.-Vietnam Political, Security and Defense Dialogue was held on October 1 at deputy minister level. The U.S. was represented by Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs Tom Kelly, and Vietnam was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc

It doesn't matter.  Laos is still under Vietnam, not China like how it is in your fantasies.

There's a 1970's Pathet Lao poster right around the corner of the Ford dealership.  How cough"hypocritical"cough, i mean how fitting!  Those posters are just there to appease the Vietnamese and Lao super hypocrites.

Yep and Amerikkka now is training Vietnam and signing more treaties as we speak. Isn't that sad? America supports anyone for its own benefit. In a way Amerikkka supports Vietnam and their stealing of Laos. But America can also still pretend to be progressive and democratic , like quietly criticising the Sombath thing. wink

Notice all the news about Hong Kong and election rights there. Remember Thailand basically just installed a right wing military junta and banned elections.. What happened? I hardly see anything on CNN or any western news outlets about that blatant suppression of rights. But since something is happening to China oh man America has to cover that sh1t 24/7 and make sure no one forgets it lol.

Thailand - amerikkka 's best friend ( its OK to have right. Wing juntas)

China - amerikkas enemy ( start signing defense treaties with Vietnam despite Vietnam having many human rights problems as well, but a fine new base to launch ships from to pressure China)

I don't see Lao people lining up to buy Chinese cars.  Nor do i see Lao youth lining up to work in China.

So you think it's more important to follow the news in HK but have no idea what's going on in Laos?

It's good to follow all news but see the changes happening in Laos if you want to talk about Laos.

As much as it may break your heart, you're not Chinese little man and they give to "sh1ts" about you.

The Vietnamese wont like me or the Chinese wont like me. However I go out is fine. At least I can have my own opinions rather than just follow a predetermined 'party' line like Lao norks have. Anyone who doesn't hold the same opinion about the war or about Lao pdr is called a traitor or communist. It is even worse for Hmong Americans, anyone who says 1 even neutral thing about Vang Pao is automatically ostracized from the community.

I do see them line up to buy Iphones, which are suprisingly made in China. biggrin ( like everything else) I have seen many more Chinese brands here BYD Great Wall Haima Geely, more than I have in the last years.

Changes, changes, it doesn't matter what happens in Laos. It is past just a couple of people being rich, corruption is everywhere. I don't think getting rid of the party solves Laos' problems. You should be honest with yourself and not keep pretending that it will make Laos some world superpower with 0 corruption. I like the party, and reform in the party will help big time. Not overthrowing government and creating even more chaos. yawn

LOL

Some people have so little faith in Laos.

No place will be perfect, that's life.  But with decent people with common sense leading Laos, everything should be fine.  Laos is fully capable of being a prosperous country and Lao people come from a rich history, tradition, and culture/heritage(even though some people think Lao culture is stupid ahem ahem).

We live in a Laos where common sense is frowned on.  Once Laos is led by decent people with common sense, she'll run and not walk.

Ask Khampheuy what that common sense did for him.  He's a crook who came to his senses and started thinking about Laos and not just himself.  They stripped him of his position all because he encouraged his fellow colleagues to use common sense.  Laos needs educated people yes.  But it also needs people who gives at least half a rats behind about Laos and not just themselves.  No perfectionist needed.  Laos is still a place where the Vientiane radio host literally ran for his life all because they open up phone calls to hear the grievances of poor farmers.
