How do I properly set up my Brother printer for the first time?

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a new Brother printer and I’m trying to get everything ready at home. I assumed the process would be quick, but I’ve come across a few steps where I’m not sure what to do next. That’s why I’m posting here to ask for help with the correct way to Setup Brother Printer.

So far, I’ve unboxed the printer, removed all the packaging material, and placed it on a stable table near my Wi-Fi router and computer. I connected the power cable and turned on the printer. The screen came on and asked me to select my language and set the date and time, which I completed without any problem.

Next, I installed the ink cartridges and loaded some paper into the tray. Everything seemed fine up until this point. The problem started when I tried to connect the printer to my Wi-Fi. It keeps searching for available networks, but it doesn’t connect even after I enter my Wi-Fi password. It just shows a “connection failed” message.

Has anyone else experienced this issue while trying to setup Brother printer for the first time? Is there something I’m missing, like installing a driver or software before the printer connects to the network? Should I download the Brother iPrint&Scan app or is there a better method?

I’d really appreciate it if someone could explain the steps to setup Brother printer correctly from start to finish. Any tips or advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience or guidance!
