I am really against this. If we want to pay respect for the unknown soldiers we should make this more respectful. Something better than a shop to sell junk to tourists.
as i recall, the place was for storing the unknow soldiers' bones. the place known as anousavary or unknown heroe destination. where they move all of the respected heroes' bones to ? i don't think that is the good idea for commercial at this place period.
so bad indeed to bloody idiot who set up a business on top of the monument where the hell do they get the idea from? they have no repected at all to the Laos war heros, i suggest the shop have to move out as quick as possible.
I think is communist time they don`t care about hero before ,money first bone they dumped somewhere already nothing upthere only product made in laos selling in USA dollar
What's next, gift shop inside the wall of That Luang? All these times, I thought that this monument was build to honor those who sacrificed their lives to free Laos from the French. Now a day, we are willing to sell our soul for a few bucks.
