20,000 kip at the first kilometre was so expensive! (more than 2 $?)

in Thailand is 35 Bath which mean about 1 $ and also in Cambodia is 4000 riels also about 1 $

HOw nice if we installed to be in METER like in Bangkok or Singapore so it can be solve of some of the cheating problem at least one level. But I'm sure that even we have very tight security but definately we will get cheated about the fare. (They may not cheat Local people but they will cheat foreign tourist in expensive fare)

Hope those taxi drivers will accept to transport our local people. I wish they just waiting or hunting for only foreigner b'cos they give tip or don't care about the currency as it's already too cheap for them

yes the local and Lao ppls when they visit vientiane, they surely take the touk-touk, as for foreigner and guest during the seagame, they will take the taxi, but i am sure that some of guest still want to try on touk touk service, but it's not convinient for guest in some location, because touktouk is not allowed to run in some road in vientiane.  10 000 kip is still expensive compared to the world's most expensive city hongkong, hongkong it cost only $8 HK ( 8787.738 kip)
