homestay in Laos??

my name is jay, I will be leaving for Laos with my girlfriend  on February 5th. I am Looking for some families that we  would be able to homestays with ... i will be landing in Bangkok  and taking the train to pakse ... will be traveling all around probably down to Attapeu and then heading north.
i would love to help out a family and learn about them personally as well culturally...

please let me know if anyone is interested...i am sincere about this and i hope we can make it happen...

thanks..the site is awesome...will definitively  try to stay with someone in Vientiane..i was also looking to do a stay in a small village in the country....would love to help them fish of do chores to hep them out...everyone we met in the outside of the cities where so nice to us...would like to give a liitle back this time.

Hi Jay! where are you from what's nationality are you?
My name 's Thong i'm Laocanadian living in CANADA i can help you if you want, you can stay in my room at my parent home PHONHONG just 70 kilometres north of Vientiane half way to Vangviang will cost nothing to you or just pay $10 for my mom to buy food and cook for you or you can stay with my brother place is out to the country side with no running water no electricity, burn candle and take bath on the river, about two hours walk or $10 for off road took took(taxi took took) room is free you just pay $5 or so is up to you to help my brother to buy food and cook for you because there is no restaurant out there you will experiencing ethnic culture they will offer you free food and free drinks, home made wine jar(hlaohai) you will like it!

You may wondering why i offer you free place to stay?

Because i just want to show up Lao culture to the westerner how nice we are and the money doesn't meant every things for us Love friendship are more important for us just email me at: thong.5@hotmail.com i will make arrange for you.

if/when you do decided to stay with a family make sure that they take you and your friend to register with the head of the village we call "Hoa na ban"  this is your only security blanket and people will have your best interest at heart but, don't worry Lao people are nice as you already know.
