war that the Lao people did not eve create brought on to our country by foreign powers is the saddest thing i can imagine.
but the picture that brought me the greatest hope was the kids wearing the lao flag t shirts in their class room. that shows me their brother hood in the life they share and the school they represent. inspirational....
Many smart students got scholarship from Japan, are the most of them from Oudom viengchan?? when i was in dongdok there were many my classmates from vientian high school, they were quite smart compared to students from other provinces;
look at vientiane high school is nothing special compared to aboard, but i 'd say it is better better than many school in other part of Laos, Better lap room? sport courts? Better teacher? better Library ?

All I can see is health hazard to those poor students breathing in those old paints filled with lead poison, mold,and very dusty grounds. It is a very unsafe learning environment for the students of all ages .
My wife went to this school in the early 80's. She came to US in 1986 and we met soon after. I went to muttayom phiawat then moved back Savannakhet in 1978.
