That's a lao bus

the letter written on is lao too. it's just abit fancy

an express (non stop) Vientiane - Pakse
cost less than 150000kip

so it's affordable for most laotians

Lao words on the bus are CHIT PASONG JOD NEE JOM too me they should write Lao language in the way it should be, many can think they are thai words. hmm

When you hear the word EXPRESS what does that come to mind? Do you think like the EXPRESS Lane? Do you think of it goingfrom point A and doesn't stop until it reach point B? It would be correct in America but in Lao it is opposite. It stop at all sort of place and it will pick up anyone anywhere.

The overnight VIP bus is better but remember this:
The VIP is a 2 decks bus. It have bathroom. It serve package food. It have A/C. It is a boxed-up section with board dividing you and your neighbor behind and in front of you. A curtain keep your privacy from the neighbor across the aisle. The ticket cost about $20. Maybe less depending on fuel cost.
VERY IMPORTANT: The bed is for 2 people. That mean if you travel by yourself you will be sharing bed with someone. You don't get the bed all by yourself. I've witnessed this with my own eyes.

Chitprasong seems to be the best out there. Not that it is any safe or better. There is one company I think the name is Kiengkai....something like that. DON'T USE THAT BUS. It is the worst bus ever and even worst driver. They have bad reputation. I rode in both bus.

It's just a Tourist Bus from the local Travel Agent in Laos which might own by Lao-Thai travel agent companies. And using this bus for the group tours and not using for public trasportation.
